YUM (Youth Under the Messiah)

Psalm 34:8 "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."

We encourage our students to go deeper in God's Word and with one another, in a safe setting that encourage them to discover who they are as individuals in God's Kingdom.

Youth Group

Wellspring is our Sunday evening gathering for teens 7th-12th grade.  Our goal is to encourage Christian growth through exciting activities and engaging Bible studies. Wellspring meets from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.

Our youth are also involved in other events and ministries throughout the year such as:  Winter Retreat, VBS, Hoops of Hope, 30 Hour Famine, Creation Festival, Summer Fun, Coming Together Luncheon, See You at the Pole and TAYM (Tulpehocken Area Youth Ministries) Events.

This year the youth took advantage of two different Mission Trips.  Some of our youth went to the Dominican Republic on July 9-12.  The primary focus of this trip was leading a soccer evangelism camp at which we coached children in outlying villages in the basic skills for soccer.  After some time teaching the game, we then shared the Gospel with them.  Some of our youth also went to Chattanooga, TN on July 20-26.  This group met up with 15-20 missionaries to participate in a VBS and home repair.

St. Thomas Youth have the opportunity to praise God through the expression of music.  These groups participate at the 10:30am traditional worship service September through May.

New Generation Choir is for 7th-12th grades.  They practice the 1st and 3rd Sunday at 11:30am to 1:00pm.

Parent Link

Parenting 202:  This is a small group that encourages parents as they learn about the various voices in youth culture and how they can speak Christ into the situations that our teens encounter today.  This group does this through book studies and God's Word.

P3:  Parents are asked to partner with our youth ministry through prayer.
