"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
Some of our missionaries serve locally, some of them serve in hospitable places and some of them serve in restricted, dangerous locations. They serve in locations such as the Middle East, Italy, Philippines, France, India, and the USA. One thing they all have in common is their love for people who have not yet heard about Jesus, and sharing the good news of Jesus and the salvation He brings.
We also participate in Operation Christmas Child. With each shoe box gift that is packed it enables us to reach children worldwide with the good news of God's love and the true meaning of Christmas.
Along with Operation Christmas Child we have many families that support Compassion International. When you sponsor a child, you'll be personally connected with a child that will know you by name and feel blessed to have someone who loves and cares for them.
Our youth along with some of our adults participate each summer in a short-term mission trip. These trips are to different churches in the United States where we share God's love through building projects, sports camps, VBS, and other service opportunities.
In addition to Global Missionaries, St. Thomas financially and prayerfully supports multiple local ministries.
We desire to make Christ known to those in our community who are ready to encounter Him.
Some of the local ministries we support are Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise of Berks,
Bernville Community Day, Food Pantry, Al-Anon, Grief-Share, Mary's Shelter, and others.
The Food Pantry allows people in the Greater Bernville Area to receive non-perishable food items along with paper goods, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and soap at no cost. The food pantry is available on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
